  • Day 01: Visit Kirtipur in the morning, Visit Chobhar in the daytime, and Taudaha in the evening, and drive back to the hotel

    • Visit Kirtipur in the morning

    You will have an early breakfast at your hotel. At 7:00 AM, our guide will pick you up and take you to Kirtipur. You will experience the culturally and historically strong vibes as you visit the Temples and Stupas.

    Bagh Bhairab Temple: It is located on the top of the hill which is a thousand of years old and you can witness the beautiful view of Kathmandu. It is one of the oldest temples of Kathmandu Valley.

    Uma Maheshwar Temple: A three-story pagoda-style temple built in hundreds of years ago where you can see the various gods & goddesses in the form of astonishing artwork in pillars, beams, etc. along with the idol of Lord Shiva and Parvati. As it is standing on the top of the hill, you can see the beautiful view of Kathmandu along with mountain vistas like Langtang, Gaurishankar, etc.

    Shri Kirti Bihar: You will find this temple at the bottom of Kirtipur dedicated to Lord Buddha. It is one of the important sacred sites holding numerous Buddhist paintings.

    Chilancho Bhal: It is also a Buddhist stupa, an old one, where you cannot see the plaster covering bricks. The story behind this stupa is to be said as it was built during the period of Ashoka.

    After visiting the temples and stupas, we will have lunch before we leave the Kirtipur area. The lunch will be the typical Newari Cuisine. After having lunch, we will rest for a while and then we drive to Chobhar.

    • Visit Chobhar at the time

    Chobhar has multiple stories about the place and this is one of the popular destinations to visit. Apart from this story, Chobhar is a place that has multiple attractions where one can enjoy their time being culturally and historically connected to this place.

    Manjushree Gorge: It is the place where Manjushree has cut the wall to drain out the water, which later turns into Kathmandu Valley.

    It is believed that a saint from China saw a beautiful lotus in the center of the lake and to reach the lotus, he cut the wall and drained out the water. The place where he cut is now Chobhar. A similar story is on the other side which tells that during the Dwapar era, Lord Krishna cut the wall through his Sudarshan Chakra and drained out the water so that the Gopala could stay.

    Jal Binayak: This Jal Binayak is one of the popular temples of lord Ganesh. It is nearby the Manjushree Gorge and one can witness the huge limestone rock covered with a metal sheet.

    Manjushree Park: This Park, situated just next to Manjushree Gorge, is named after Manjushree, the saint who drained the water out from the lake and this lake later transformed into Kathmandu Valley.

    Adinath Temple: It is a temple dedicated to Adinath Lokewor, known as Rato Machhendranath, is a Buddhist deity and one of the oldest sites. This site dates back to the 15th century and the temple dates back to the 17th century.

    After viewing all these places, we will have a tea and snack break where we will spend some time resting. We then later, moved to the beautiful Taudaha lake. We will spend our evening there.

    • Visit Taudaha in evening

    Taudaha is a beautiful lake, that holds religious importance. It is believed that after the cut made by Manjushree, this Taudaha Lake is the remaining of that massive lake.

    Also, this lake is famous for bird watching. You can see a lot of bird lovers and photographers with binoculars and cameras ready to capture the bird. Also, this lake has large fish. But there is no availability of any activities like swimming, boating, etc.

    • Drive back to the hotel

    After spending the evening in Taudaha, the one-day trip has finally come to an end. Now, it is time to get back to the hotel.
