ITINERARY

  • Day 01: Drive to Sundarijal from the hotel, Hike to Chisapani to Nagarkot, Bike ride from Nagarkot to Bhaktapur, and Drive back to your hotel.

    • Drive to Sundarijal from the hotel

    Our guide will pick you up around 7:00 a.m. and drive you to the Sundarijal, the starting point of our hiking journey.

    • Hike to Chisapani to Nagarkot

    From Sundarijal we will start our hike towards Chisapani. Sundarijal is on the north side of Kathmandu and is a famous place for picnic and hangout spots. We fall into the Shivapuri National Park as we go forth. Through the forest having tall trees, streams, and cool shades, the journey forward will be smooth and natural. We will pass through a few settlements like Mulkharka behind as we move forward and cross the small Bhanjyang, and then we reach our first destination, Chisapani.

    Chisapani is a place from where a beautiful sunset with majestic views of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Annapurna, Langtang, etc. can be seen. It is also a home to different races like Brahmins, Gurungs, and Sherpas. We will rest here for a while, fill up our bottles, and click some photographs.

    After having breakfast, we then descend towards Chauki Bhanjhyang and move forward to our main destination, Nagarkot. Chispani is perfect for the Sunset view and Nagarkot is the best hill station to view the ethereal Sunrise. Once we reach Nagarkot, we will have lunch there and have a look at the view tower. The panoramic view of the Himalayas and Kathmandu Valley pleases the eyes. On a clear day, we get to see the ranges from the Everest region with the gigantic Mt. Everest.

    After having lunch and gearing up our stamina, we left our hiking journey in Nagarkot and started our biking journey towards Changu Narayan Temple of Bhaktapur. We bike downhill from the view tower. The trail is steep, but somewhere you can find plain and busy paths too. You will have adventure biking down, but if you are a beginner then you have to be careful on those steep trails. As moving forward, you will pass through hardwood forest, and ascend till you find a plain path on the ridge where you can see beautiful terraced fields below.

    Then, in a while, you will descend on the rocky trails that will take you towards the village. You have to be careful on the path as you can find villagers and animals around. Passing through cultivated lands, sharp bends, and hard turns, you will reach one of the World Heritage Sites in Bhaktapur, Changu Narayan Temple. We will leave our bikes here, and stroll around for a while on this religious and historic site.

    Note: If you do not want to bike down from Nagarkot, then you will have a choice where we will drive you back to Kathmandu. (Cost may vary)

    • Drive back to your hotel

    After spending some time there, then we will drive you back to your hotel.
